Will Solace is a son of Apollo, Head Counselor of Cabin Seven, Lieutenant of Apollo and Driver of the Sun Chariot. 16 years old (but his clock was thrown off by being immortal for a while).
Appearance[]
Will is noted as having his father's surfer-body, shaggy sun-kissed hair and blue eyes, and having an athletic build. He typically dresses casually in a t-shirt and shorts. Known to have a sword at his side, Will does have a usual appearance with a quiver. This shows a connection to Apollo. Unlike most campers, Will doesn't always wear the camp half-blood t-shirt mostly appearing with his surf barbarian tank top.
Personality[]
Due to his long-lasting trust issues, Will always put up walls. Unfortunately, these were often perceived as him being a; jerk' or rude to people less socially inclined than he was. His best friend was Jake Mason through everything and was the only person to see the real him. Has affection for Nico.
His mother eventually found Will and wiped his memory. She made him believe he was a regular teenager and to forget all his Demigod experiences. A rescue mission saved him and restored his memory. Will learned a valuable lesson from all of this- that he wasn't as unloveable as he thought and learned to put aside his mother. This had plagued Will for so long that he felt no one could love him that he had pushed away many people who wanted to get close to him.
After this Will decided to work with his father and become a lieutenant again. Will was given the opportunity to see the world and all the people in it. The good and bad, the poor and rich, the full and hungry. He learned a lot and when he came back to camp his demeanor had completely changed. He calmed himself and no longer picked fights. He started taking an interest in counseling people with Mental Health Issues (Abby) and teaching campers how to shoot. He became a tranquil version of his former self.
Will matured and transformed himself from being the promiscuous guy he once was to a more respectable young man.
Trivia[]
- His last name, Solace, may refer to the fact that his father Apollo is the god of the sun, as 'Sol' means 'sun' in Latin.
